As The Slow Eater is awash in grad school final exams, the always-opinionated Mr. T has graciously offered to step in to provide both the Week 15 starts and sits. To honor our absent friend, however, here’s a positive review of Avatar from New York Magazine.
You know who you should start?
Jason Campbell (QB – WAS)
As we mentioned yesterday, Campbell has been on fire recently. The Giants’ secondary couldn’t stop a UFL team these days, let alone a budding NFL offense.
Arian Foster (RB – HOU)
Another friend from yesterday’s column, Foster should see about 15-20 touches and will look nice in the flex position this week. There will be a lot of points to score for the Texans in St. Louis, so there’s likely a TD or two on Foster’s horizon.
Beanie Wells (RB – AZ)
Last week saw a complete changing of the guard in Arizona as Tim Hightower didn’t see a carry after an early fumble. The time is now for Wells, who should see carries all over the field (including the goal line carries previously owned by Hightower) as the Cardinals bring sweet music back to Motown.
Derrick Mason (WR – BAL)
Joe Flacco looked back in rhythm last week and Mason has always been his go-to receiver. The Bears will stack the line to stop the run after Rice’s performance last week, leaving Mason open for many opportunities.
Fred Davis vs. NYG
The Giants definitely don’t know how to cover TEs.
You know who you should sit?
Alex Smith (QB – SF)
People are applauding Smith’s work over the last month as he’s shown signs of turning the corner. The Eagles provide cause for restraint, however, as Philly’s blitzing scheme will be too much for the young QB to handle. Bench him until next week’s affair with the Lions.
LeSean McCoy (RB – PHI)
So much for being a first round stud. His stats in recent weeks are frighteningly bad. Leonard Weaver has looked like the more dominant force when running the ball and there are rumors of Westbrook’s return.
Reggie Bush (RB – NO)
He made the highlight tapes last week with two TDs, but without those we’re looking at six catches for 33 yards. You get the feeling Sean Payton deals with Bush like he’s one of his booty calls. He shows him attention once every few weeks to keep Reggie interested, but is out playing the field the rest of the time.
Roddy White (WR – ATL)
This is only if you have other options, but a sandwich of Chris Redman and Darrelle Revis wouldn’t be tasty if you added bacon, cheese, or Torry Hallelujah’s favorite flavored mustard.
Kevin Boss (TE – NYG)
While I could tell you that I’m not a fan of Tony Gonzalez’s situation against the Jets this week, there’s probably no chance you’re benching him. Instead look for other options over Boss against the Redskins, the fourth best defense against fantasy TEs.
